Who we are
The regulated family is the home of Occupational Therapists and Positive Behaviour Support specialists mastering in parent–child regulation, boundaries, and family systems.
For over a decade, I’ve worked alongside children and families navigating emotional regulation challenges, neurodiversity, and complex family dynamics. My approach is grounded in occupational therapy, nervous system science, and attachment-informed practice — focusing on what sits beneath behaviour, rather than reacting to it.
At The Regulated Family, I work with both parents and children, with parents positioned as the central drivers of change. Sessions may involve parent-only consultations, joint parent sessions, and selected child or family sessions where appropriate. This allows me to understand the full family system while ensuring parents feel supported, confident, and equipped to lead.
I support parents to develop calm authority, hold clear and sustainable boundaries, and regulate themselves first — so children experience safety, predictability, and connection. When parents are regulated and aligned, children are less likely to escalate, emotional outbursts reduce, and family life becomes more settled and connected.
My work is practical, evidence-informed, and non-judgemental. I don’t offer quick fixes or prescriptive parenting styles. Instead, I help families build systems that work in real life — particularly for households supporting children with ADHD, autism, demand-avoidant profiles, or heightened emotional sensitivity.
The Regulated Family is a parent coaching service operated by Harbour Therapy, offering face-to-face services in Sydney’s Inner West and online support for families across Australia and internationally.
